LIMESTONE SLABS & COUNTERTOPS

Add warmth to any space with a limestone countertop. Its comfortable and casual appeal is great for any space that needs the temperate charm of its soft beiges and tans. Limestone is an easygoing stone formed at the bottom of the sea as sediment settles and its weight eventually pressurizes into a solid surface.

Limestone means any rock formed mostly of calcium carbonate, but to geologists, limestone is only one of several types of “carbonate rocks.” These rocks are composed of more than 50% carbonate minerals, generally the minerals calcite or both. Limestone has many industrial uses and can be used as mined or processed into a wide variety of products. It is the raw material for a large variety of construction, agricultural, environmental, and industrial materials.
